The MICHELIN StarCross 5 Soft tire is specifically designed to provide a high level of performance on a wider range of terrain from firm soil, grass, mud and even sand. Mud-Phobic Bars maximize cleaning capability to prevent mud and dirt from building up between the knobs, which ensures maximum traction and acceleration. The intermediate tread blocks on the Soft tire are positioned in staggered ros to maximize traction and feedback through verying lean angles.
The casing design incorporates stronger, higher density materials that reduce weight up to 15 percent without compromising strength or durability. The casing construction also features Michelin’s Comfort Casing Technology (CCT), which provides exceptional shock absorption that reduces rider fatigue.
